How DM Plant Works

The DM Plant operates through an ion exchange process using two main resin beds:

  • Cation Exchange Unit – Removes positively charged ions like calcium, magnesium, sodium, and iron.
  • Anion Exchange Unit – Removes negatively charged ions like chloride, sulfate, nitrate, and silica.

The dissolved salts are replaced with hydrogen (H⁺) and hydroxyl (OH⁻) ions, which combine to form pure water. Mixed bed polishers may also be added for achieving ultra-low conductivity water.
